Sooooo……………. as some of you know, this is my daughter Patience. Getting these photos was nothing short of a miracle. Back story: I have not been able to take photos of her since she was 13. She is now 17 and her brain seems to be unthawing a bit. She is actually coming around to the idea that I am NOT evil and that some of what I say is legit.
I recently had the opportunity to accompany some local photographers on a cruise to the Bahamas for the Florida Professional Photographers (FPP) educational fall seminar. The seminar was given by the wonderful, fellow photographer, Kira Derryberry and she shared her extensive knowledge of website design with her program: THINK GEEK, website and social media. Although I had a website already in place (and thought it was amazing) I reviewed what she taught us, I realized I had a lot to work on. Although I certainly had a wonderful time, it was a struggle on the cruise ship to not have my laptop and internet to tweek my website. Cococay and Nassau were absolutely gorgeous; however, I was eager to return home and go straight to work giving my lovely website a makeover- not just on the outside but on the interface side. She had given me the confidence to know I could do it myself 🙂
I was super blessed to have been able to hear my friend speak and she certainly made me proud. I have taken several workshops and been to several conventions with FPP and I am still amazed that no matter how many years in the industry you have, there is always opportunity for growth. Here are some fun pics from the trip… ENJOY!
